2. Information we collect and process
The information processed by LearnPlayVerse depends on whether you use the application as a guest or sign in to a LearnPlayVerse account, and on which features you use.

Passwords used for LearnPlayVerse email/password authentication are handled by Firebase Authentication. LearnPlayVerse does not store user passwords in ordinary profile or learning-data documents.
3. How we use information
We use information for purposes including:
- Creating and authenticating LearnPlayVerse accounts.
- Maintaining account sessions and account-management functionality.
- Storing and synchronizing supported learning progress for signed-in users.
- Providing learning, review, quiz and practice features.
- Maintaining study-plan and learning-progress information.
- Providing AI-assisted learning features when explicitly requested by the user.
- Enforcing AI usage limits and managing AI credits or rewarded access where applicable.
- Providing optional rewarded advertisements.

AI-assisted learning features
Some LearnPlayVerse applications provide optional AI-assisted learning features.
When you explicitly use an AI feature, the information necessary to process your request may be transmitted securely from the application to our backend service and then to the applicable AI service provider.
Depending on the feature, this information may include learning questions, Japanese sentences, answers, summaries, notes, grammar information or other content necessary to generate the requested response.
AI requests are processed through our backend service. AI service credentials are not intentionally exposed directly in the mobile application.
You should not submit passwords, authentication codes, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive personal information to an AI feature.
AI-generated content may contain errors and is provided for educational purposes. It should not be considered professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
AI usage limits and rewarded features
Certain AI features may have daily or other usage limits. Where available, users may voluntarily watch a rewarded advertisement to receive additional AI access or another in-app benefit.
We may maintain usage and reward records to enforce applicable limits, prevent abuse and ensure that rewards are granted correctly.
Local learning data
LearnPlayVerse applications may provide guest functionality that allows users to study without creating an account.
Learning information created in guest mode may be stored only in the application's local database on the device. Such information is not automatically uploaded to our servers solely because it exists on the device.
Clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the application may remove locally stored learning data.
Cloud synchronization
When you sign in to a supported LearnPlayVerse account, selected account and learning information may be stored using our cloud services so that supported features can synchronize your learning state across devices.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
Depending on the applicable feature, security measures may include encrypted network communication, Firebase Authentication, server-side authorization, access-controlled cloud data, application-abuse protections and server-side processing of sensitive service operations.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their devices and authentication credentials.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain account and service security, provide learning functionality, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
When an account is deleted, we initiate deletion of the account and associated user data under our control, subject to limited information that may need to be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or other lawful purposes.
Learning data stored only on your device may remain until you clear the application's storage or uninstall the application.
7. Account and data deletion
If you have a LearnPlayVerse account, you can request deletion using the account-deletion functionality provided by the applicable application or through the account-deletion web page associated with this Privacy Policy. Open the account deletion page to submit a request online.

We may require reasonable verification of account ownership before processing a deletion request in order to prevent unauthorized deletion of another user's account.
After a deletion request is completed, we aim to delete the associated Firebase Authentication account and applicable user information and learning data under our control.
Certain limited information may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, accounting requirements, dispute resolution, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Data stored solely on your device may not be removed by server-side account deletion. You may need to clear the application's local storage or uninstall the application to remove remaining local data.
Deleting your LearnPlayVerse account does not delete your separate Google account or any other third-party account used to authenticate with LearnPlayVerse.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your LearnPlayVerse account and associated information;
- object to or restrict certain processing where applicable;

9. Children's privacy
LearnPlayVerse provides educational applications, including language-learning applications. Individual applications may have different target-audience settings and age requirements.

LearnPlayVerse and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
